Shriners Hospitals for Children pediatric orthopedic specialists will be in Hilo each quarter thanks to a new partnership with Hilo Medical Center.
Shriners physicians will see children from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today and Friday at Hawaii Island Family Health Center, an affiliate of Hilo Medical Center. This Hilo satellite clinic will recur every quarter.
Appointments are highly recommended.
If your child has a bone, joint or muscle condition such as scoliosis, hip pain or any other orthopedic issues, Shriners specialists can help.
Shriners cares for children ages 18 and younger and accepts insurance or no insurance, regardless of family’s ability to pay.
The physician at today’s clinic is Dr. Craig Ono, chief of staff, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and 2015 Healthcare Association physician of the year.
Seeing patients Friday will be Dr. Jonathan Pellett, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and 2014 Healthcare Association of Hawaii physician of the year.
The Hawaii Island Family Health Center is located at 45 Mohouli St., Suite 101.
